Russ founded Casa Bella Construction based on the premise that ordinary hardworking people were just as deserving of well designed and crafted homes as those in the highest income brackets. He also believes that the custom home building process should be an enjoyable experience for the client from start to finish. He is quite passionate about the homes we build and our company’s ability to deliver consistent quality to our buyers. Russ’ goal has always been to exceed the clients expectations and to make the process of delivering a beautiful custom home appear effortless.

Lise Groshans
Vice President, CFO and Co-Designer

Lise is the co-founder of Casa Bella Construction. She and Russ have shared their company vision from day one, and work as a team in nearly every facet of the business. Lise’s background as a Certified Public Accountant helps her immensely in her role as the company’s Chief Financial Officer. Lise works closely with our clients and subcontractors throughout the building process to ensure that every home is built with quality, affordability, and customer service in mind.

Amber Jury
Art & Marketing Director, Office Manager, and Designer

Amber has artistic talent running through her veins. She has worked with Russ and Lise over the years to create the look and feel of Casa Bella Construction. She designed the company logo and has overseen the artistic design of their website, advertisements, and print and marketing materials. Amber is also the one behind the scenes making sure things run smoothly in the office. She is in charge of many of the fiscal and administrative functions. She also serves as the communications coordinator for our clients and subcontractors, assisting with questions, problems or concerns.

Brian Colvin
Director of Field Operations

Brian has over 19 years of project supervision experience, working with only the highest quality builders in the Kansas City area. Brian is an extraordinary project manager, and a vital part of our team. He brings with him an intense work ethic, ensuring that each and every one of our homes is built with only the finest quality and craftsmanship. His professional, yet easy-going demeanor, makes him a favorite among our clients and subcontractors.

Ben Cox
Estimator

Ben has over a decade of experience throughout many facets of the construction industry. He has experience as a commercial contractor, subcontractor (in several different trades) and residential builder. After graduating from Kansas State University with a degree in Construction Science & Management, he trained at one of the largest commercial general contractors in the nation for six years. Early on in his career, he honed his estimating and project management skills on such projects as: Kaiser Permanente San Jose Medical Center in San Jose, CA; Argosy Casino in Riverside, MO; Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts in Kansas City, MO; Blue Valley Southwest High School in Overland Park, KS among hundreds of other projects. After eight years in the commercial industry, Ben decided to transition to his passion – residential construction. In 2009, he began working as the estimator for a well-known KC Northland custom home builder, who had an emphasis on sustainable construction. By broadening his horizons, Ben was able to start his own consulting firm, and for two years established himself as a “go to” estimating expert in the subcontractor and general contractor community. In mid 2012, an opportunity to join the Casa Bella team emerged and was deemed too good to pass up. Ben joined Casa Bella in September 2012 and is enjoying acting as our estimator and in-office project manager. His favorite part of the job?…”I thoroughly enjoy being in constant communication with our homeowners and helping to ensure their homebuilding experience is enjoyable and as hassle-free as I can make it.”

Linda Rowe
Administrative Assistant

Linda is the backbone of Casa Bella Construction. She serves as the communications coordinator for our clients and subcontractors, assisting with questions, problems, or concerns. Linda has joined the Casa Bella team after working several years for a natural gas utility company in the customer service, engineering, rates and tariffs, and purchasing departments. Linda is the outstanding clerical support in our office assisting the rest of the Casa Bella team. Linda’s organizational expertise, warm demeanor, and strong administrative and computer skills, make her a very welcome addition to Casa Bella’s team.
